come learn to fix a flat, install tubeless tires and service your fork at dialed x dynamic bike MAINTENANCE academy

our “suspension basics” course will include servicing your fork lowers, basic setup, and tracking performance over time

coming this november … “dialed x dynamic” bike maintenance academy

Picture this.

You’re ripping down an epic trail after an incredible day, sweating it out with your crew. You’re satisfied, though hungry. You’re hydrated, but ready for the tailgate beer.

The wind blows your hair back as you pull up on the lip of a small rise in the trail, soaring through the air with perfect form and style, when you realize . . . you’re about to put your front wheel into a huge, pointy rock.

BANG. Psssstttttt. Your rim folds like a cheap suit, spraying sealant onto the forest floor as your friends come to a halt, one-by-one, all eyes on you. It’s your rim. It’s your flat tire. So what are you gonna do about it?

Imposter syndrome starts to set in as unsolicited advice comes from every direction. “You don’t need tire levers, just pull the tire off and put a tube in,” one person suggests.

ANOTHER voice chimes in “You know, that wouldn’t have happened if you had tire inserts in *both wheels.”

Your head spins, your eyes roll as you take in the mess around you, sealant seeping into the forest floor.

We’ve all been there at some point, knees in the dirt with all the wrong allen keys,  lacking the confidence, skills, or tools to fix our bike when it counts the most.

At Dialed Bike Service we believe every single rider should be empowered with the knowledge and tools to repair their bike and get them out of a pinch when the trail gets rough. We don’t see you as competition, we see you as our community. That’s why we’re launching a series of educational sessions so you can take more of your bike maintenance into your own hands.

Want to start from scratch? Watch for our basic, though comprehensive, Basic Bike Maintenance course covering everything from how to wash your bike, care for the drivetrain and adjust your brakes and what to check on before and after each ride.

Looking to learn literally everything about your brakes? We’ll be offering separate courses for each Shimano and SRAM SETUPS so you can dive deep into the gear you’re using right now and get to know it as intimately as you know your favourite trail.

Maybe suspension setup is still stressful for you? Get on our mailing list to be the first to hear about Suspension Basics and sign up before it fills up. Students will learn how to do a basic fork service as well as set sag, compression, and rebound to suit riding style and goals. We’ll cover maintenance intervals, trailside adjustments and answer any questions you have that may help demystify the shocks and forks currently on the market.

Classes will be small, but the learning will be huge. We will have two to three instructors present for every course, optional course-specific tool packages (with great discounts) and take-home material as well as long-lasting support from our mechanics.

Instructors include myself, (ash kelly) who has more than a decade of teaching bike courses behind her and works in two bike shops. She will be joined by dialed’s resident, savant mechanic, Adam harrison and finally our partner jarrad connolly (dynamic cycling academy) who brings serious drive as well as decades of coaching and instruction to the team.

We’re so excited to start sharing what we’ve learned with our community and empowering you all with the knowledge to fix your own bike and prevent unnecessary wear and tear.

And it ought to be said, Dialed Bike Service will be offering explicitly safe spaces to learn in - that means we will have specific courses for WOMEN and LGBTQ2S+. we promise to ensure everyone is safe and respected.

Bikes are hard, but you can do hard things, and we are here to help you get the confidence to believe in yourself and tackle anything that comes your way.
